The best way to get to the centre of the Tour.
The Flemish Ardennes region is south of Ghent, east of Kortrijk and west of Brussels. Both the E17 and the E40 go to the Flemish Ardennes but not through it, which boosts the region's character. Take the Kruishoutem exit on the E17 or the Zottegem exit on the E40 and you will quickly reach the 4 towns of the tour (Oudenaarde, Zottegem, Ronse and Geraardsbergen).
Oudenaarde, Zottegem, Ronse and Geraardsbergen can all be reached by train. For tickets and info, see the NMBS/SNCB website.

You can cycle from Ghent to the Flemish Ardennes along the banks of the Scheldt, from Zwalm to Oudenaarde. It is easy to rent a bike in Ghent. If you have not chosen a folding bike, but still want to take your rented bike on the train, then please follow these guidelines. It is better to rent a bike in Oudenaarde, Zottegem, Geraardsbergen or Ronse. Once in the Flemish Ardennes you can cycle on 830 km of signposted cycle paths on the Flemish Ardennes' cycle network. The Tour of Flanders' route, with 3 bike circuits from Oudenaarde, is marked out on this network.
With a weekend ticket you can travel half-price to the Tour. Free shuttle buses stop at Oudenaarde and Ronse stations, which will take you to the big public zones. In Oudenaarde, they stop behind the station.
Oudenaarde is on the Scheldt and can be reached by pleasure boat from France and Antwerp. The marina is on an old anabranch of the Scheldt, just outside the town centre. At the archaeological site of Ename there is also a jetty in the Scheldt.
Car parks and free shuttle buses
The car parks from last year in the industrial zone De Bruwaan are again open to the public. Once again, there are free shuttle buses from De Lijn thanks to the support of the Province of East Flanders. If you get on the bus before 12.30pm in De Bruwaan you can choose to get off behind the train station or go on to Kwaremont. From 11.30am to 2.00pm you can take the bus to the finish zone. You can also park in the industrial zone De Meersbloem, and walk across the bridge over the Scheldt to get to the town centre. If you know the town, you can try to find a place to park on the edge of the town centre. But please be aware that the main access roads via the N60 and de Markt are not accessible.
